Sexuality

We suspect many of you have tried it, but we can’t find the data

We at ERMusic.Org assumed there would be many published articles in the medical literature describing the effects of music on sexuality. We couldn’t find any. We have a premonition that music is used on a regular basis by many people to set the mood and enhance the hormonal response.

We have decided to enlist you as our subject and ask that you complete the short poll below. No information other than your answer is transmitted. Thank you for your help

The E.R. Music & Sexuality Poll (a quickie):
  1. Are you:
    Male
    Female

  2. Do you play music when you have romance?
    Always
    Sometimes
    Rarely
    Never
    Don’t have romance

  3. Do certain songs consistently put you ‘in the mood’ for romance?
    Yes
    No
    Don’t know

  4. What type of music do you generally find most romantically arousing?
    Rock
    Jazz
    Classical
    Hip-Hop
    New Age
    Country
    Pop
    Latin
    Other

We at E.R. Music are grateful to readers who inform us about new research involving music and human sexuality. We will review the studies and incorporate them into this chapter. Please join our mailing list if you would like to be informed of the latest developments.
